I GOT A BETTA FISH!!! Fishy Diary pt.1

Hello, and welcome back to my blog. Last Friday I purchased a betta fish from Petco, and I wanted to share it with you guys because I have never had a betta fish before. The only fish I have had were the cheap ones from the fair that died within a week, and I had those when I was six. Now, I have enough time and responsibility to take care of my new betta fish.      This project that I decided to take on, cost me about $95, including everything I bought; from decorations to the actual fish. Here is a complete list of want I got:) 1.6g fish tank ($30) Crowntail betta fish ($8) Blue and White gravel ($5) Betta fish pellets ($4) Water conditioner ($6) Five silk plants ($15) Freeze dried blood worms ($4) Rock tower aquarium ornament ($7) Betta hammock ($4) + shipping for some supplies and tax      If you are planning on buying a betta fish, it will probably cost you about as much as I spent.      My betta fish is named Dwight K. Shrute, from the character in the

Exam Season Study Tips

Image
Final exam week is just around the corner, and as fast as this school year is going by I can't not post some study tips for my viewers. I have compiled a list of six tips that I think are the most effective for me. Don't Cram- This tip might be one of the most obvious tips in the entire world but that is because it is very important. Cramming the day before can make you even more stressed and it is harder for your brain to retain information that way. Stay was from cramming.       2. Practice Testing-  Testing on practice quizzes can be very helpful because it can give you more              of an idea of want you need to study and what type of questions can be on your exam. If you                  have a study schedule, I recommend that you add practice tests to it.       3. Review Notes on the Daily- Even if you              don't study for hours everyday it is still a                really good idea to review your notes every            day. You should

May Plan-With-Me! Bullet Journal Spread

Image
This Tuesday is the first day of May and with the change of month comes the change of spread themes. Summer is getting very close and I decided to go with a plant theme that lightly reminds me of the summer to come. If you aren't very artistic, this spread could be helpful because there aren't any freehand doodles.       I started with a basic cover page. I wrote "May" in the lower part of the page and stuck these cute cactus sticky notes around the title. I put them in different directions to give it some edge.       Next, for the monthly overview, I wrote a mini calendar towards the middle of the page and then traced these vines around it to fill in space. At the bottom of the page, I drew a box where I plan on putting goals for the month. On the other side of the spread, I numbered the days of the of the month vertically. I titled it and then traced some cacti on the sides. I spelled overview wrong, silly me. But I went back a fixed it.      Then las

Watercolor Paper Design with Crayola Markers

Image
Hello Bullet Journalists, In today's post I wanted to share with you a cool way to fill space in your bullet journal and page to add a little spice to a title page that you are making. My method is really inexpensive and is really easy to do. I hope this post will be helpful to you. Materials: Crayola Markers (any water based markers) Plastic Sandwich Bag Spray Bottle Water Paper Towels Note: I recommend practicing on other sheets of paper rather than start right in your bullet journal. Take your plastic sandwich bag and draw a circle and fill it in with your Crayola markers. You can also make different designs, and use multiple marker colors to give a marble effect.  Next you want to fill up your spray bottle with some water and spray some water over the sandwich bag. *Don´t add to much to where it will ruin the page, but you don´t want to add to little* That is why it´s best to practice first. Now to want to flip the plastic bag over onto the page and it migh

My Favorite Bullet Journaling Supplies

Image
I have been bullet journaling for over a year now and I have come to prefer certain stationery, so I have compiled a list of my favorite stationary items that I love to use and that I recommend. Leuchtturm 1917 a5 Notebook:                            https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TSIMW4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The Leuchtturm 1917 a5 notebook is my favorite notebook to bullet journal with. I am obsessed with the notebook and I love the dotted pages. It has a built-in index and it already has page numbers printed on them. I find that most of my pens and markers don't bleed through the pages. I definitely recommend this notebook. Uni-ball Signo Ultra Micro Ballpoint Pen 0.38mm : https://www.amazon.com/Signo-Ultra-38mm-Black-Dozen I have been using this type of pen for years now and I especially love using it in my bullet journal. It comes in black, blue, and red. I found that it writes so smooth and it rarely ever skips. There is n

Plan With Me! April Edition

Image
Every month, most bullet journalists (including me), create a monthly log to plan events for each month of the year. I just wanted to share how I set up my monthly spread for April. Starting off the spread for April, I create a long skinny column on the left page, that I use to show what day of the month belongs to what day of the week. Next, I create a box towards the top of the page where I write all my goals for the month. In the space below the box, I leave alone to decorate later. On the right page of the spread, I start making a mini calendar. It's just a grid that I make with a ruler. My grid for April is 5x7 but that can change from month to month. I create boxes at the top of each column to label with each day of the week. In my calendar, I associate events and tasks with colored dots. Below the calendar grid, I write what each colored dot represents in my calendar. After I have all of the elements of the monthly log I decorate the page to the th

Tips and Tricks to Stay Organized

Image
Many people, including me, find it hard to stay organized. One might set a goal to be organized and they keep up with that goal for a couple of weeks, but then they slowly start to get unorganized. I have compiled this list of tips and tricks to get organized and stay organized. 1. Make a To-Do List             Having a to-do list can make overwhelming days into calm days. Write down every single thing you need to do on a certain day. Include the tiniest of tasks. (ex. Picking out clothes for tomorrow, or filling up your water bottle) After you have everything written down on your list, start completing them one by one. Always start with the easiest tasks first! That way when you get to the harder tasks on your list, you won't be overwhelmed by everything else you have to do. 2. Clean Workspace              Working in a clean space can help you be more productive and not as overwhelmed. When I work at the desk in my room, I am always distracted by everything on th
